Download Video from a Link as MP3 or MP4: Which Should You Choose?

When you're saving a video from a link, you'll often see the choice between MP4 and MP3. They serve very different purposes, so picking the right one depends on what you actually want to keep.

MP4: the full video file

MP4 is a video container format that includes both the picture and the sound. Choose MP4 when you want to:

• Watch the video again later, offline
• Re-upload or share the clip somewhere else
